We are pleased to announce that Dr Anna Steg has received funding from the National Science Centre (NCN) under the MINIATURA 10 call for a research project entitled “A Three-Dimensional Model of Porcine Hepatocytes to Assess the Effects of High Vitamin D Exposure on Liver Metabolism.”
The research will be carried out at the Department of Animal Molecular Biology of the National Research Institute of Animal Production.
The aim of the project is to develop a liver cell model that will enable researchers to assess how high doses of vitamin D affect its metabolism. The research is particularly relevant given the widespread use of vitamin D supplementation and the still limited understanding of the metabolic effects of prolonged exposure to high doses of this vitamin.
Congratulations to Dr Anna Steg, and we wish her every success in her research!
