We would like to inform you that as of 25 March 2025, the National Research Institute of Animal Production, represented by the Department of Cattle Breeding, has been re-certified by ICAR for DNA Data Interpretation Centres. This certificate, awarded within the framework of the ICAR Parentage Analysis Certification for DNA Data Interpretation Centres programme, confirms the authority of the Institute to carry out parentage verification of animals, including cattle, on the basis of SNP markers. Thus, the Institute has become the 24th computing centre in the world and the only one in Poland enabling this type of analysis. We are very pleased to inform you that certification obtained by the National Research Institute of Animal Production according to ICAR procedures (two DNA-based services) enables full analysis of pedigrees on both STR markers (carried out by the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics) and SNP markers (carried out by the Department of Cattle Breeding).
