On 22–23 March 2023, the 5th European Agricultural Forum was held at the G2A Arena Exhibition and Congress Centre of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in Jasionka near Rzeszów.
During the two-day event, the most relevant issues of Polish and European agriculture were discussed. The debates focused on the formation of regional policy in Poland, the future of Polish agriculture, as well as the future of European agriculture (debate with the participation of representatives of the European Commission, ministers of agriculture from Poland and EU countries).
The National Research Institute of Animal Production set up an information stand, which presented publications on current research activities, laboratory services offered, and native breeds of livestock. Forum participants were also able to taste products derived from the raw material of native breed animals: the Puławska pig, the White Kołuda goose® and the Polish Red-and-White cow.
The Institute’s stand was visited by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, including Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kowalczyk; Chairman of the Council for Agriculture and Rural Areas to the President of the Republic of Poland Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski; members of parliament, as well as others representing the scientific and agricultural advisory sectors.
