  • News

On 24 May 2025, the Służewiec Racecourse in Warsaw hosted the nationwide “Discover Good Food” Picnic, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. This is one of the largest events promoting Polish food, which has been attracting crowds of lovers of good taste, tradition, and quality for years.

The National Research Institute of Animal Production once again participated in this prestigious event, promoting the idea of farm animal biodiversity conservation and presenting products obtained from native breeds, awarded with the “Rasa Rodzima” (Native Breed) quality certificate. The Institute’s stand attracted a lot of interest – visitors eagerly participated in tastings, appreciating both the high quality and authenticity of the products on offer.

The event programme also included attractions for the youngest participants. Children had the opportunity to develop their creativity by colouring illustrations of farm animals. These activities combined educational elements with creative play, allowing children to learn about agriculture and animal breeding in an accessible way.

During the event, producers from various regions of Poland presented their offerings, showcasing products distinguished by quality marks such as “Poznaj Dobrą Żywność” (Discover Good Food) and “Produkt Polski” (Polish Product), as well as traditional, regional, and organic products covered by national and EU quality systems.
