Employees of the National Research Institute of Animal Production have been included in the global list of scientists whose publications are most frequently cited by other authors
(https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/8).
Compiled annually by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, the international ranking “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024” contains the names of the 2% most frequently cited scientists. They are classified according to an algorithm that characterizes the overall impact of an author’s scientific output, taking into account, among other things, the number of independent citations, the Hirsch index, the IF index, and the position among co-authors of publications. The list, prepared on the basis of analyses using the Scopus scientometric database, covers two categories: one summarizing the total scientific output and one covering only the last year (2024).
We are pleased to announce that in the latest ranking, covering the top 2% of most frequently cited scientists, both in the category covering the entire output and the last calendar year, two researchers from our Institute have been distinguished. According to the ranking order on both lists, they are Prof. Sylwester Świątkiewicz, PhD and Prof. Marcin Samiec, PhD.
