On 4 February 2025 in Balice, Krajowa Grupa Spożywcza S.A. (KGS S.A.) and National Research Institute of Animal Production signed a letter of intent concerning cooperation in the development of a technological, organizational and investment concept for a biogas project.
The aim of the agreement is to jointly develop innovative solutions in the area of biogas production that can contribute to the development of renewable energy in Poland. The parties have committed to working together to develop a technological and organizational concept, as well as analyzing legal and business aspects.
The project will establish a Steering Committee and two main working teams:
– the legal and business team, which will be responsible for defining the expectations and objectives of the project, the financing model and the terms of the cooperation agreement,
– organizational team, responsible for planning, project structure and the possibility of involving additional entities.
The parties have also expressed their willingness to jointly apply for external funds that can support the implementation of the investment. The cooperation will run until the end of 2025 and is expected to result in a comprehensive concept ready for implementation.

This is an important step towards sustainable development and utilization of biogas potential in Poland.
