On 25 February 2025, a conference on innovation in cattle breeding was held at the Małopolska Agricultural Advisory Centre in Karniowice.
Industry experts, scientists and breeders met to discuss key aspects of calf rearing – from nutrition and welfare to modern automation systems.
The topics discussed were:
– calf nutrition and the role of dry TMR,
– housing conditions and their impact on animal development,
– calf welfare as a key indicator of breeding quality,
– genomic selection for future dairy cows,
– state-of-the-art solutions such as the SenseHub™ Cow Calf 24/7 and automation of calf milk feeding.
