We are honoured to announce that Monika Trzcińska, Ph.D., professor at the National Research Institute of Animal Production, has been appointed a member of the Commission on Agricultural, Forest, and Veterinary Sciences operating at the Class IV of Natural Sciences. The appointment to the PAAS Commission is a recognition of her contribution to the development of Polish science, in particular her significant achievements in reproductive biotechnology and her expert activities supporting the ex situ conservation of livestock genetic resources.

The Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences consists of six classes (faculties): Philology, History and Philosophy, Sciences and Technology, Natural Sciences, Medicine, and Artistic Creativity. The PAAS classes are an important opinion-forming forum in the field of science, but the main burden of activity rests with the commissions, which bring together researchers from various fields of science.

The Committee on Agricultural, Forest, and Veterinary Sciences brings together outstanding scientists and experts in the natural sciences, who jointly set the directions for basic and applied research, support dialogue between scientific and economic communities, and participate in the formulation of expert opinions on agricultural, forest, and environmental policy.

We warmly congratulate Professor on her appointment to this prestigious group and wish her further success in her scientific work and fruitful cooperation within the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
