New Year’s meeting of retired employees of the National Research Institute of Animal Production – Balice, 10 January 2025

On Friday, 10 January 2025, a New Year’s meeting was held at the National Research Institute of Animal Production in Balice, bringing together retired employees, management and heads of the Institute’s departments. It was a unique event, as after a break of several years, the current director decided to resume this tradition.

New Year’s gatherings have always been an opportunity to integrate and express appreciation for the achievements of long-serving staff. This year’s event became a special moment to reflect on the history and future of the Institute. In opening the meeting, the Director Tomasz Jacek, PhD Eng. stressed the importance of the contribution of retired staff to the development of the Institute. In his speech, he addressed those present to express his gratitude.

“I would like to thank you all sincerely for your years of dedication, passion and work for our Institute. It is your achievements, research and commitment that have created the solid foundations on which we are building the next stages of development today. Your contribution has been invaluable and we, as the current staff, are honored to continue this work. You are extremely important people for our Institute and will always remain a part of it”, stressed Tomasz Jacek, PhD Eng.

The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to summarize the passing year together, reminisce about the years of working together and make wishes for the time ahead. It was also an excellent forum for intergenerational dialogue, as the experience and knowledge of retired employees is an invaluable source of inspiration for current staff. The decision to resume the tradition of New Year’s meetings was very much appreciated and warmly received by both current staff and those who are still interested in the fate of the Institute when they retire. It was emphasized that such initiatives help to build bonds and sustain the community that has been the driving force behind the Institute over the years.
