On 2 July 2024, the Department of Reproductive Biotechnology and Cryoconservation (ZBRK) once again hosted teachers and students from the Agricultural Training Centre School Complex (ZSCKR) in Nowy Targ.
The ZBRK team prepared a workshop on the biotechnology of bee reproduction. During the practical classes entitled “Collection and evaluation of drone semen and its use for insemination of queen bees”, participants had the opportunity to collect drone semen and evaluate its quality on their own, as well as learn about techniques for preparing semen for insemination and cryopreservation procedures.
