On 8 February 2024, the staff of the Department of Reproductive Biotechnology and Cryoconservation of the National Research Institute of Animal Production conducted a training course on the evaluation of canine semen for “Weterynaria Dobieszowice”. The training included a theoretical part, during which participants were introduced to the research topics of the department, with particular emphasis on advanced sperm evaluation using the CASA computer system and flow cytometry. In the practical part, participants had the opportunity to analyse sperm quality parameters on their own. The donors of biological material for the training were dogs from the “Academia canis” kennel, which additionally contributed to the extremely pleasant atmosphere.
