We are pleased to announce that Karolina Zygmunt, M.Sc. from the Department of Animal Molecular Biology of the National Research Institute of Animal Production, under the scientific supervision of Wojciech Witarski, Ph.D., begins the implementation of the NSC grant received in the Prelude competition.
The topic of the project: “Effect of fibroblast extracellular vesicles on the modulation of myogenesis processes in bovine satellite cells towards obtaining meat by in vitro techniques”.
The aim of the project is to investigate the effect of paracrine signalling in the form of fibroblast-derived extracellular vesicles on the process of bovine muscle cell myogenesis, at the molecular level. Individual genes and signalling pathways relevant to myogenesis will be analysed. The duration of the project is 36 months.
We wish her the best of luck and look forward to the results of her research.
