The National Field Days 2021 took place on 19–20 June 2021 in Minikowo. The event was organized jointly by the Kujawsko-Pomorski Agricultural Advisory Centre and the UTP University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz.
The main goal of the event, held with the motto “European Green Deal in the Fields”, was to present the achievements of Polish plant breeders, research institutes, schools and entities serving farmers.
Over two days, the fair featured numerous shows (including genetic improvement of crop plants); visits to experimental plots and rich collections of crop and medicinal plants; presentations of the Research Centre for Cultivar Testing, institutes of higher education and research institutes; consultations and counselling by many specialists in the field.
The National Research Institute of Animal Production, alongside the Experimental Station in Kołuda Wielka, shared an information stand to present a wide range of research services provided by their laboratories, training and dissemination activities, as well as the many publications on native breeds of farm animals. Moreover, the stand offered culinary shows and food tastings of the products made from raw materials from native breeds such as White Kołuda® geese, old-type Polish Merino sheep, Złotnicka pigs, and Kamieniecka sheep.

An equally important event was a series of four conferences preceding the National Field Days. The conferences discussed four blocks of issues. The first panel – presented by the EIP-AGRI Operational Groups – reviewed the national solutions for innovation in agriculture. The second day of the conference featured addresses by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as a discussion on the most important decisions of the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan for 2023–2027. The third and fourth thematic panels featured addresses by the representatives of research institutes, schools with the agricultural environment, and the UTP University of Science and Technology.
The event coincided with the International Agricultural and Industrial Fair AGRO-TECH. This fair show promotes innovative technologies, thus providing the visitors with a good opportunity to expand their knowledge and gather information needed to make decisions related to investment and modernization of agricultural holdings, which make them more competitive.
