The 21st Polish Junior Championships for Hucul Horses: “Along the Hucul Horse Trail” took place on 4 June 2022 in Tarnów in the Klikowa Refuge for Polish Horses Foundation.
The event was attended by 58 horses: 19 stallions and 39 mares. A five-judge commission recognized champions and vice-champions in six categories: one-, two- and three-year-old colts; one-, two- and three-year-old fillies. The Best In Show award was given to the one-year-old filly OFICERKA-GÓR (Grot-Oregona), bred and owned by Stanisław Górski from the Sub-Carpathian region.
Traditionally, the Awards of the Director of the National Research Institute of Animal Production, the national coordinator for genetic resources conservation, were granted to the best Hucul-type horses.
The best stallion honoured for breed type was PEPE-O (Ważniak-Pipi), bred and owned by the Odrzechowa Sp. z o.o. Experimental Station of the National Research Institute of Animal Production. The best Hucul-type older filly was the three-year-old STECZKA (Powiew-Scylla), bred and owned by the Gładyszów Hucul Stud Farm of the Farm Complex Kietrz Sp. z o.o., and among the younger fillies the award for best breed type went to the one-year-old filly OFICERKA-GÓR.
