On 4 September 2026, the 232nd meeting of the Scientific Council of the National Research Institute of Animal Production was held. The first item on the agenda was the election of the Chair of the Scientific Council. Professor Tomasz Szwaczkowski from Poznań University of Life Sciences was elected to this position.
During the meeting, a ceremony was also held to present Dr Anna Steg with her doctoral diploma.
The Scientific Council considered applications for the Institute’s management annual awards for 2025. A resolution was adopted to submit an application to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development for an annual award to be granted to Professor Sylwester Świątkiewicz.
The next item on the agenda was the consideration of the candidacy of Professor Stefan Grzegorz Pierzynowski for the position of Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs. The Scientific Council issued an unfavourable opinion on the proposed candidate.
During the subsequent part of the meeting, the Council also considered matters relating to the management of the Institute’s property.
