On 8 November 2023, the “5th Genetic Forum – selection in small dairy cattle populations”, organized jointly with the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Farmers, was held at the National Research Institute of Animal Production in Balice. The forum, which discussed, among other things, the use of modern genomic tools in the conservation of heritage cattle breeds, attracted a great deal of interest from both people involved in practice and researchers. One of the lecturers was Dr Ewa Sosin, who presented the most important aspects of the conservation of national cattle genetic resources. During the Forum, an agreement was signed on joint activities of the National Research Institute of Animal Production and the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Farmers in this regard.
