Researchers of the National Research Institute of Animal Production, whose publications are most frequently cited by other authors (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/6), have been included in the world list of scientists.

Developed annually by Stanford University, in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier, the international ranking “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2023” contains the names of the top 2% of the most cited scientists, ranked according to a “C-score” index created on the basis of a complex algorithm. This index characterizes the overall impact and importance of a given author’s scientific output, taking into account, among other things, the number of independent citations, the Hirsch index, the IF index or the position among co-authors of a publication. The updated list was prepared on the basis of analyses using the Scopus scientometric database, as at 1 October 2023.

We are pleased to announce that the above list, which includes the 2% of the most frequently cited scientists in 2022, honours current or retired researchers of our Institute: Prof. Ewa Hanczakowska, PhD, Prof. Marcin Samiec, PhD, Prof. of NRIAP, and Prof. Sylwester Świątkiewicz, PhD.
