On 8 October 2023 in Obidza (Małopolskie Voivodeship), the autumn driving of the sheep organized by the Highlanders Union Obidza Branch took place. Four hundred sheep, together with their shepherds, walked the road from Jazowsko to Obidza to the sound of highlander music. The flock was followed by a horse escort as well as local residents and numerous tourists.
At the stand of the National Research Institute of Animal Production, visitors had the opportunity to learn about the Institute’s activities and publishing offer.
The cooks, together with culinary expert Mikołaj Rey, prepared products from native breeds meat and game (lamb, leg of deer, neck of pork, sausage and black pudding) for tasting.
